Finnish Baking/Cooking Day

Today is Baking and Cooking Day with a focus on Finnish recipes.  My Mom is here with her recipes and we are making some great yummy foods!
Guess what is in here?

This is what I wanted to learn how to make from my Mom.  Juustoa or Squeeky Cheese.  This is a Finnish cheese that is made with skim milk, heavy whipping cream (instead of milk fresh from the farm), rennet, sugar and salt.  Then it sits for about 1 1/2 hours.  Then you work on separating the curds and whey, then broiling it to finish it up.  It is so good fresh and warm, even the kids liked it.   You do need a special pan to make it in and it is kind of messy with a full pan and all the whey running off it.  It went well and the finished product is sooo good with coffee.
Here is the finnished product! :) Pun intended.

And the coffee is ready ~ also had to buy some Finn Crisp for lunch for the day!

For the top picture ~ it is Pulla!  Finnish Sweet Bread.  I will show pictures when it is done if we don't eat it too fast.  I made it into 2 braided breads and 1 pan of cinnamon rolls.  Have to go put them in the oven.
